Business Development and Support ManagerAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsRapid Crushing & Screening Contractors Pty Ltd is a privately owned Australian company, providing service and support to the civil contracting, mining, and resource sector since 1978.We are seeking a dynamic Business Development and Support Manager to support our Crushing and Screening Operations in Western Australia and Queensland, with the potential to expand further. You will be based at our main office in Perth at Maddington, and you may be required to travel to various locations. Reporting to the Managing Director in Perth, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver both business development and growth operational and strategic solutions. Your expertise will contribute to team and culture initiatives company-wide.Key Responsibilities:Business Development ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and pursuing new business opportunities Western Australia and interstate that includes researching potential clients, analysing market trends, and identifying new revenue streams.Developing business strategies and creating plans to achieve short-term and long-term goals, often in collaboration with the leadership team.Engaging with clients from operational to senior management levels, including commercial and technical contacts.Building and maintaining relationships through cultivating relationships with existing clients, partners, and stakeholders, as well as forging new connections; andPreparing proposals and tender documents, negotiating contracts, and finalising agreements with new and existing clients.Support ResponsibilitiesManaging Claims and building relationships with company insurance providers.Collaborating with senior leadership to ensure alignment and execution of business development strategies.Creating presentations, proposals, and other materials to support business development efforts.Tracking key metrics, analysing performance, and providing regular reports to senior leadership team.Ensuring that business development activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.Conducting market research and analysis to develop business strategies that puts the company in a dominant market-leading position.Ongoing and regular review of Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure all required costs/expenses are charged/invoiced to the client.Manage disputes with clients, e.g. issues related to invoicing or charges. Work to clarify and reach an outcome.Managing the contract with clients; have a good understanding of the contract terms and expectations applicable to all parties.Proactively seek to understand client operations and review how Rapid is performing against client requirements and expectations; andCollaborate with leadership across the company to align HSE and HR strategies with business development objectives.Candidate ProfileTo succeed in this role, youll need proven experience as a Business Development and Support Manager accompanied with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships. To succeed in this role, you will have.3-5 years of experience in Business Development and Support in a leadership position preferably in a civil, industrial or manufacturing setting.Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or equivalent in the civil and mining sector, or a related discipline highly regarded. Confident communicator and presenter with excellent follow-up and relationship skills.Comfortable managing tenders, complex negotiations, and solution-based client outcomes Demonstrated experience presenting premium, design-focused tender documents and company products to civil and mining clients.Strong commercial acumen and proposal writing expertise with attention to detail and customer service mindset. Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation.Exposure to managing operations spread across different regions / sites.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders and regulators; andProficient in MS Office suite.BenefitsJoin an industry leader and make a significant impact.
