Were looking for a talented Site WHS Manager to join our team. Youll be passionate about partnering with the business Sort Center team in Craigieburn to ensure WHS risks are managed. In this site, you will continue to drive our Amazon WHS culture with the site leaders, embedding Amazon WHS policies and processes and ensuring compliance with all applicable local legislative obligations. Leveraging lean principles and kaizens, you will lead continuous improvement to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates. A successful Site WHS Manager will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.The Site WHS Manager must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You will instruct and train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist site teams in incorporating safety standards. You will identify best practices and incorporate these into our standards for continuous improvement in occupational health and safety. You should possess excellent safety program and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrate this expertise when working with Operations.You should be comfortable working within a global company, leveraging resources from around the world to support your success. The Site WHS Manager will lead team members such as Workplace Health and Safety Coordinators and create leadership development plans for your team.Key job responsibilities include:- Managing the health and safety function at the SC, including supervising staff to meet objectives.- Engaging in collaborative health and safety projects across the site.- Providing advice and guidance on health & safety matters to stakeholders.- Ensuring compliance with Amazon WHS Policies and Global Standards, developing local site procedures.- Completing risk assessments related to WHS hazards.- Measuring site performance against safety requirements, identifying and addressing deficiencies.- Analyzing safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively.- Conducting site WHS audits and implementing solutions.- Ensuring record-keeping practices and database entries align with standards.- Leading and mentoring Safety Associates or H&S representatives and championing the WHS committee.- Ensuring site leadership and Associates are trained on WHS responsibilities.Qualifications include:- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.- Bachelor''s degree.- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including pivot tables and charts.- Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a team of at least 250 people.- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvements.Acknowledgment of country: Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of land across Australia and pays respect to elders past and present.IDE statement: Amazon is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
