The Maintenance Supervisor will be directly responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the plant.Your Role Will IncludeFacilitating mechanical maintenance of production equipmentPrioritising mechanical resources to achieve production and maintenance goalsEnsuring breakdown and maintenance logs are recordedEnable the training and development of fitters, boilermakers and apprenticesEnabling the training and development of fitters, boilermakers, and apprenticesEngaging and managing external contractors to meet the project and maintenance objectivesMaintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safe work practicesSkills and Experience:Experience in similar roles (supervisory experience)Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker Qualification (highly desirable)Demonstrated experience with manufacturing and machinery and plant equipmentDemonstrated experience with extrusion and brickmaking equipment (highly desirable)Strong experience in safety leadershipExcellent communications skills (written and verbal)Strong organisational and time management skillsAbout the CompanyThe iconic Midland Brick is one of BGC Australias well-known and trusted brands and supplies bricks, pavers, blocks and roof tiles to thousands of building and construction companies and individuals.
