Have meaningful impact as a Consultant, Property RecoveriesYour RoleWe currently have multiple 12-month Fixed Term opportunities available to join our Property Recoveries team. As a Consultant in Property Recoveries, youll manage pre-litigated recovery claims where a third party is liable for damage to our customers property. These claims span across policies such as Building, Contents, Landlord, SME Business, Residential Strata, and more. Youll investigate incidents like vehicle impacts, tree damage, product failures, and water-related lossesranging from minor damage to major rebuilds.Youll be responsible for identifying liable parties, determining the appropriate recovery approach, and pursuing resolutions that balance commercial, customer, and legal considerations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of property recovery claims from initiation to resolution.Issue tailored written demands to third parties, clearly outlining liability based on the unique facts of each case.Conduct outbound calls to third parties and insurers to pursue recoveries.Review technical reports (e.g., building, plumbing, electrical) to assess liability.Confirm quantum by matching quotes to invoices and verifying documentation of damage.Use internal and external tools to locate contact and insurance details.Negotiate and resolve disputes regarding liability and quantum.The roles are open nationwide, with successful candidates enjoying flexibility to work from home after training. Please note it is compulsory to attend your local IAG office at a minimum once a week after training.Training period is 4 weeks and may be a combination of onsite and virtual training. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.Applications close 11th September 2024, unless filled prior.Please note: To work from home, you will need high-speed internet and a private home office setup.About YouTo be successful in the role, you will need:Previous experience within Insurance Recoveries, Settlements, and/or Liability roles.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including referencing legal principles.Negotiation and dispute resolution skills.Attention to detail and good time management.Ability to manage inbound and outbound call volumes.Comfort with adapting to new systems and processes.Make sure to discuss all internal applications with your current manager before applying.
