Job Description

Develop and provide high level advice, support, information and resources to departmental staff and external agencies with regard to highly complex and intersecting child protection issues in particular in relation to sexual abuse, harmful sexual behaviours and child sexual exploitation.Facilitate and participate in large and small group processes designed to support decision making by child protection staff and agency partners in cases which are highly complex and where concerns around child sexual abuse, harmful sexual behaviour and child sexual exploitation are present. These processes have a central focus on holding the culture and context of each child, young person, family and community in mind, and are conducted in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, statutory responsibilities and the Strengthening Families Protecting Children Framework for Practice.Participate and contribute productively as a PAS team member to form culturally appropriate, professional working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, including non-government organisations, and other service providers.Participate and contribute to a culture and philosophy of continuous reflective review within the PAS team and wider Specialist Services team to ensure consistent quality support is provided to frontline service staff and agency partners, and engage in your own continuous learning, training and professional development to ensure practice knowledge and skills are contemporary and evidence-based.Maintain high quality case records in accordance with departmental case management requirements.
