We welcome provisionally registered psychologists and offer:Paid employment during your pathway to registrationStructured supervision from experienced cliniciansTraining tailored to correctional and forensic psychologyFlexibility & Public Sector Benefits Enjoy the stability of government employment, generous leave entitlements, part-time flexibility, and access to wellbeing programs.Your roleAs a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist, youll deliver trauma-informed care within a custodial setting, supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of men in custody.You WillConduct psychological assessments and individual interventionsFacilitate group-based rehabilitation programsProvide expert consultation to staff on mental health, trauma, and risk (including sexual and violent offender assessment)Collaborate on behaviour support and case planningMaintain accurate documentation in OIMS and psychology filesPrepare reports and provide input to statutory bodies (e.g. Parole Authority, Mental Health Review Tribunal)Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and networking opportunitiesWhat You BringFull registration (or provisional registration) with the Psychology Board of AustraliaInterest in trauma-informed practice, cognitive impairment, forensic risk, or behaviour changeA strong ethical foundation and commitment to evidence-based practiceEffective communication and teamwork skillsNSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as requiredSpecialist Psychologist applicants must meet the additional experience/ capabilities as outlined in the Crown Employees Psychologists Award.
