If you''re ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you!Your new RoleYou will work with a close-knit team in Sydney as an Assistant Accountant, responsible for working across the full business needs, with core activities such as Accounts Payable and Receivable, as well as bank reconciliations and financial reporting. This role is based in our Sydney Head Office with a requirement to come into office 3 days per week and the remaining days being Work From Home.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable and Receivable:Processing invoices and following up with customers in respect of outstanding invoices.Managing payments to vendors.Reconciling bank statements with the company''s records to ensure accuracy.Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.Compliance:Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.Administrative Support:Providing general administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.Expense Management:Reviewing and Processing expense claims.Ad-hoc reporting and analysisVarious report preparation and ad-hoc analysis.Key Requirements of the Ideal candidateWe encourage candidates with prior accounting experience in Australia to apply. We are looking for candidates with a positive work ethic, adaptability in taking on various roles, the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and a strong drive to succeed.Proficiency in Accounting Software: Familiarity with Xero and Microsoft Office Suite (Strong Excel Skills)Strong Numerical Skills: Ability to accurately perform calculations and analyse financial data.Attention to Detail: Meticulous in recording and reviewing financial information.Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and external parties.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Education: Bachelor''s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in financial software and systems.Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What we offerThe Fundamentals:Ongoing training and development including all access to LinkedIn Learning.A collaborative team environment with regular team building events and social activities including monthly team lunches, quarterly team events, and EOFY and Christmas celebrations!Opportunity to participate in meaningful charitable initiatives.We also offer additional leave days.This role is a key stepping stone towards being a Finance Manager role within the Transformation Group.
