We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Practice Business Operations Team Lead for an exciting leadership role. You will take on a senior leadership role within our organisation and be responsible for the execution of our strategic direction, compliance, and operational excellence at our Amtan medical centres whilst upholding clinical standards and enhancing both practitioner and patient experiences.This position sits above the Practice Managers and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practices at a higher level, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and reporting directly to the company General Manager.This senior leadership position requires proven expertise in General Practice Operations combined with strong business and commercial acumen. In this full-time role, you will be the driving force behind ensuring each of the practice runs seamlessly, allowing the medical professionals to focus on providing exceptional patient care.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily business management and clinical operations of multiple centres ensuring policy adherence, operational effectiveness and efficiency whilst delivering high performing primary careIn consultation with GM, identify, develop, and implement strategies for business growth and financial sustainabilityOversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, training, performance management, rostering to labour budgets, approving shifts and replacing nonavailability of administrative staff and nursesBe the first point of contact for all admin/reception staff, nurses, doctors, allied health, and after-hours security for your supervised sitesCollaborate with doctors, nurses, practice managers, reception/admin support staff to achieve practice goals, procedures, and elevate patient servicesExecute on the strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with company''s clinical and financial goals and objectives as directed by GMMedicare, Private, DVA & Work cover: Oversee billing, invoicing, batching, re-submissions, monitor submissions vs payments and follow through on non-paymentsManage appointment calendars and coach reception staff on opportunistic utilisationsOversee petty cash, reconciliation and cash deposits on weekly basisQuality assurance, compliance, and continuous quality improvement to AGPAL accreditation standardsCompliance to all legal and healthcare regulatory requirementsEnsure facilities and equipment are managed to highest standardSupport marketing, doctor and patient engagement strategiesManage patient feedback and complaints effectivelyAbout You:Proven experience in senior management within General Practice Operations and ManagementExperience with Best Practice, Cubiko, Cliniko & TANDA rostering software is essentialDemonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and service workflowsCommercially aware, data-driven and process-oriented with strong business and financial acumenConfident collaborating with medical professionals and clinical stakeholdersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environmentExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilitiesIn-depth understanding of Medicare billing and requirements, accreditation standards, and healthcare compliance within a GP settingStrategic thinker with experience in business planning and executionA passion for delivering exceptional patient careRelevant tertiary qualifications in health administration, business, or related fields (desirable)What We Offer:Amtan Medical is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment for all our employees.
