About The Role Ventia is currently seeking experienced Site Supervisors for our Defence Base Services contract at Robertson Barracks in Darwin NT. The primary responsibilities include providing high-level customer service, managing key stakeholders, and supervising and coordinating building trades to effectively maintain, repair, replace, and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract. Benefits Great opportunities for career growth Access to Ventia''s staff discount scheme Rewarding career with advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities Coordinate first response and oversee on-site ground control of emerging estate upkeep outages impacting asset availability. Supervise and oversee estate upkeep subcontractors as required. Implement and issue the Ventia Permit to Work System and conduct site audits of work activities. Manage safety documentation and conduct operational process confirmations as required. Supervise Ventia Field Leads, managing their performance and coaching for improvement. Participate in subcontractor and project management quality control activities, including validation of work scope completion and value-for-money assessments. Coordinate site access, including inductions, access to drawings and maps, and escorts for subcontractors. Establish and maintain on-base liaison and relationships with key client and customer representatives. Ensure timely entry of all work-related information into relevant systems. Skills & Experience Building, trade, or tertiary qualifications are desirable. Experience within the building or commercial maintenance industry is highly desirable. Strong focus and awareness of safety principles. Experience managing and leading trade teams, subcontractors, and estate upkeep personnel is highly desirable. Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with clients and customers. Understanding of project management and/or service delivery principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn computerized software. Proficiency in the Permit to Work System; qualifications in at least one high-risk discipline are highly desirable. Current Australian Driver''s Licence. Additional Requirements The incumbent must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to a Neg Vet Level 1. As a result, the candidate must be an Australian citizen.
