Senior Administration Officer, Scholarships page is loadedSenior Administration Officer, ScholarshipsApply locations St Lucia Campus time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id R-54113Academic Services Division (ASD)This is a full-time fixed-term position through to January 2026 with salary in the range $91,658 - $98,330 (HEW 6), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.Be at the forefront of UQ''s strategic ambitions under the Queensland Commitment, directly supporting thousands of students by alleviating the financial burden of study.This varied role offers the chance to contribute to high-quality scholarship administration and strategic reporting.Based at our St Lucia campusAbout This OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and organised Senior Administrator to provide high level support to the Senior Manager, Scholarships in relation to the implementation, reporting and ongoing administration of the Universitys undergraduate and postgraduate coursework scholarships and prizes (awards). The role is also responsible for providing high quality information and advice relating to the Universitys awards to prospective students, parents, current students and UQ staff, including eligibility, application, selection, compliance, reporting and payment processes.Key responsibilities will include:Scholarship Administration and SupportProvide high-level administrative assistance, advice, and support throughout the application, assessment, selection, and award processes for UQ''s undergraduate and postgraduate coursework scholarships and prizes. This includes drafting rules and guidelines for new or amended awards.Reporting and Data ManagementDevelop and provide specialist reports on University scholarships by interrogating multiple systems. Monitor ongoing recipient eligibility and maintain accurate information within relevant systems.Information Provision and Stakeholder EngagementOffer clear written and oral information and advice on UQ scholarships to current and prospective students, parents, school contacts, and UQ staff. Manage feedback and inquiries from all stakeholders and foster effective working relationships.Financial Administration and Team GuidanceAdminister financial awards with a focus on timely payments and assist with budget forecasts. Monitor competitive scholarship offerings across the sector and provide guidance to the Scholarships Office Administration Officer and Rotational Team Member.Please note the duties will involve;Occasional out-of-hours work (evening and weekends)Leave blackout around peak periods.About YouDegree and/or qualifications with relevant experience. This includes high-level skills in interpreting and applying rules, policies, and procedures in complex situations.Possess high-level organizational, planning, record-keeping, and time management skills. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload, show initiative, use problem-solving skills, and contribute to continuous business process improvement.Require high-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships and deliver outstanding service. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with senior staff, students, prospective students and parents, school representatives, and external organizations.High level of computer proficiency with software packages and enterprise systems. Require high level accuracy and excellent attention to detail.You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
