The department is well-resourced and actively engaged in education, research, and innovation.This is a fantastic opportunity to combine meaningful work with an enviable lifestyle in one of Australias most beautiful regions.RequirementsWe welcome applications from Australian-trained and overseas-trained Cardiologists, including those from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, and New Zealand, who are likely to be eligible for specialist registration via the Specialist Pathway with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).You will ideally have:A recognised Fellowship in Cardiology (e.g. FRCP, MRCP with CCT) or equivalent specialist qualificationA collaborative approach to patient care and a commitment to teaching, quality improvement, and team-based service deliveryPrevious experience working in regional or outreach settings (desirable but not essential)Current drivers licence and ability to meet credentialing and vaccination requirementsThe LocationWhether you''re drawn to the idea of sunshine year-round, wide open spaces, or a strong sense of community, Cairns offers it all!
