We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our Melbourne Studio, working across multiple sectors but with a strong focus on Residential.We are seeking a technically proficient and narrative-driven designer to join us in bringing our client''s visions to life. We take pride in our ability to provide bespoke solutions while addressing the unique challenges of each project.You will have an eye for design, evident in your well put together portfolio and the ability to document independently using Revit is essential to securing this role.This is an opportunity to showcase your skillset and work closely with Principals and Regional Project Leaders within both architecture and interiors.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with senior Architects and Interior Designers in the design and delivery of the project.Develop and prepare concept designs, to pitch for projects, competitions, and potential clients.Develop and prepare detailed spatial planning, test fit and schematic design schemes.Lead and assist preparing design development presentations and documentation.Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants.Lead and assist preparing reports and documentation packages (including drawings, schedules and specifications) across each phase of the project.Coordinate with clients, consultants and suppliers as required.Monitor and mitigate project risks and escalate where necessary.As Project Leader, you will be required to ensure quality delivery outcomes are maintained.Maintain an awareness of all matters relevant to the design and production of the deliverables for the project.Ensure the project is conducted in a way that maintains Woods Bagot professionalism and skill.About youAs the successful candidate you will have significant experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team in the delivery of high-end, award-winning projects. You will have worked across various phases of projects, specialised experience in the design and construction of interior design and architectural projects and have an eagerness to learn and develop your skills further.You will have experience in Client engagement through communicating design concepts, collaborating to provide design solutions and importantly create and grow strong Client relationships. You will enjoy working in a dynamic studio of high-performers and helping build a vibrant team culture.You will be able to demonstrate12+ years'' experience working in the Interior Design/Architecture field.Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.Experience in leading various scale projects, from mid-size to large-scale.Solid knowledge of the Adobe Suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)Intermediate Revit skills and capability of using independently is essential.Enscape skills and additional rendering software programs an advantage.Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development and design delivery.Ability to visually communicate a projects design intent and concept narrative for report submissions and through presentations to client.Experience in working autonomously and leading teams to deliver high quality projects.Ability to assist in the co-ordination and deliver a documentation package suitable to the project phase.Strong technical knowledge and ability to develop fit out details and take the design through to documentation.Solid experience in Residential sector, experience in diverse project typologies will be beneficial.Ability and confidence in dealing with and presenting to clients.Familiar with Australian building regulations and standards.Willingness to contribute to a high performing team.Superior Communication skills to work with internal and external clients.Benefits we OfferIn addition to working for a world class design Studio you will enjoy benefits such as:Employee Assistance ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramAnnual Discretionary BonusWorking on some of the most interesting and complex projects in Australia alongside a talented teamHow to ApplyApplicants are required to submit a resume including a link to your portfolio via our LinkedIn job post.
