Senior Pack Shed Supervisor - AvocadosLocation: Childers, QLDCosta is Australias leading grower, packer, and marketer of premium quality fresh fruit and vegetables. All our products are fresh, nutritious, unprocessed, and grown either on our own farms or those of our partner growers.We are currently seeking a Senior Pack Shed Supervisor to join our Costa Avocado team in Childers, Queensland.About The RoleThis role is responsible for the successful operation and supervision of the avocado packing shed. It focuses on coordinating and overseeing safe and efficient packing operations in accordance with quality standards, ensuring premium produce is delivered to our customers.Key Responsibilities IncludePlan and supervise packing staff to ensure maximum productivity, in collaboration with the Pack Shed Manager.Assist in developing the production schedule and monitoring the labour budget.Set up, operate, and maintain packing line and associated equipment. This includes troubleshooting issues and liaising with technicians as required.Manage packed product, process fruit, and waste levels accurately and promptly, reporting weekly or as required through Packout and QC reports.Monitor product grading, MLS, and packing staff performance, making adjustments as needed to maximise productivity.Train and supervise line QCs in the use of relevant systems.Monitor and report on quality, food safety, and WHS requirements, driving continual improvement.Ensure staff training is up-to-date with current health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will bring:Proven experience supervising in a pack shed or similar environment.Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills.A focus on achieving high-quality results and minimising rejections.Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative.The ability to motivate and support team members to work efficiently.Willingness to be hands-on and lead by example.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.An ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.A team-oriented approach with effective problem-solving skills.A solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.What We OfferA role working within a collaborative environment with a team that has a high-performance mindset.Significant scope for growth and professional development within Costa.For more information about this role or to have a confidential discussion please email angeline.mulder@costagroup.com.au #J-18808-Ljbffr
