Offering impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, Batmans Hill on Collins is the ideal venue for guests visiting the city for leisure or work.We are looking for a Full Time Food and Beverage Supervisor to work closely with our Food and Beverage Manager in leading our team to provide excellent service and create memorable moments for our guests. Bringing energy and attention to detail to this role, you will play a key role in driving revenue, guest sentiment and developing our team. As a full-time role, you will be paid the award rate of $29.88 plus penalty rates on weekends and public holidays.Job DescriptionWhat you will be doingProvide and supervise food and beverage service to guestsLead and inspire our F&B team to deliver exceptional service and exceed guest expectationsMaximise sales opportunities with recommendations and suggestionsSolve problems with creativity and understandingCommunicate with other departments to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintainedCoach and develop team members to be their best, supporting learning and leading by exampleBeing hands-on in the restaurant and bar, including setting up event spaces and delivering room serviceWhat We Are Looking ForDemonstrated experience in Food and Beverage, with conference and events knowledge highly desirable, and a minimum of one year in a leadership positionGreat communication skills & presentation and confidence to engage with guests and colleaguesA genuine interest in food and beverage as well as in our local Melbourne area, and a drive to develop your career in hotelsDemonstrated ability to work as part of a team and inspire and support othersExperience in a hotel environment will be an advantageQualificationsThe availability and flexibility to work a five day roster, including early mornings from 6 am, evenings to 10pm and on weekends and public holidays.Qualification in a hospitality related field would be an advantageCurrent Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Handler qualifications (or prepared to obtain)Knowledge of H+L point of sale system would be an advantage, however not mandatory as training will be providedYou must have current working rights in Australia.
