You''ll feel a real privilege being a trusted caregiver in our patients, their families, their carers, and our communities'' lives.Purpose of the PositionPerforming the clinical duties of a staff specialist in palliative care as determined by the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Director of Supportive & Palliative Care. Including delivery of inpatient, outpatient and community clinical palliative care services; implementation of and participation in palliative medicine education, research and quality improvement projects; participation in other hospital activities related to the delivery of excellent palliative care. This care will be provided within the scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).Selection CriteriaMBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) or Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their fellowship within 3 months may be considered.Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
