This role is a roving Transport Coordinator covering any leave and absence of members of the team.Working hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.Based at Bentley site, WA, you will be responsible for providing daily operational control and leadership for Bega Dairy & Drinks Route Transport and critical reporting and monitoring of information to continually improve the Customer Experience.Our Bentley site is where we manufacture and distribute a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 30 farms in the Albany, Harvey and Northcliffe regions of south-western WA. The site currently manufactures in excess of 70 million litres a year including the state''s number one flavoured milk product - Masters!ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations to meet operational and service objectives through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) toolLiaising with Transport Partners (3PL) to resolve any delivery inquiries or issuesMeet marketplace service objectives in terms of DOTSupport delivery of network efficiencies, partnering with logistics team, network partners & suppliers to drive project objectivesCommunicate with internal sales team to ensure issues and inquiries are resolvedAbout youExperience in a similar environment in logisticsAn in-depth knowledge of local or national Transport Chain of Responsibility legislation is neededExperience using SAP, TMS systems and Excel will be a great advantageExposure to FMCG and Cold Chain environments or experience in Distribution Centres or warehousing is highly desirableProcess improvement and analytical abilityThe Bega StoryBega Cheese Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
