Were evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.Job DescriptionNine News is looking for two dynamic and creative Video Editors to join our newsroom in Sydney, on 12 month maximum term contacts. Using AVID Media Composer, the role delivers engaging, accurate video content across a range of Nine News programs, including digital and streaming platforms. This high-performing team is dedicated to producing high-calibre content in close collaboration with editorial stakeholders.This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or those with some entry-level experience.Day to day you will:Edit material for Nine News broadcasts, including voiceovers, grabs, overlay, and packages. This also includes feature-style content for various news and current affairs programs, as well as online and streaming platforms.Compiling vision for archive and ensuring edited material is delivered correctly and on time.Ensure timely escalation of any potential technical problems to the Supervisor or engineering team.Ensure all edited material is delivered to a high technical standard and delivered within strict deadlines.The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.Be available to work a rotating roster based in the office, which includes weekends, early starts and late finishes.QualificationsWhat youll bring:Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in media, TV production, or communications.Proficiency in editing software; AVID Media Composer experience is a plus, but not required.Technical knowledge of media file formats and compression codecs.You are dedicated, professional, flexible, and proactive with a "can-do" approach and an excellent positive attitude.You demonstrate a genuine desire to build a long-term career in television broadcasting and streaming.A keen interest in news, sport, and current affairs is highly valued.Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
