Wetherill Park (NSW), Australia | req24234The Production Shift Manager provides leadership across the shift for industrial/medical cylinder filling and site operations.What you will enjoy doingYou will be responsible for leading the shift team leaders and operators to ensure BOC safety, service, and performance objectives are met.Monitor workplace conditions and behaviors, ensure the safety KPIs are met. Ensure that risk assessments and controls are implemented and communicated effectively.You will be accountable for cost control of plants and budget compliance. Support the Zone and Production Management team by managing costs within budget and by leading, coaching, developing, and organizing Production personnel within their area.Promote continuous improvement and deliver results in the areas of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality, Customer Service, Performance, and productivity.Provide effective leadership and ensure that the team is trained and motivated. Coordinate the work of plant staff to achieve KPIs and annual plan objectives.Be responsible for timely and accurate data reporting and for planning, supervising, and executing maintenance activities.Monitor site operations including shutdown and restart. Investigate accidents and near misses, complete reports, and implement corrective actions.Meet contractual and supply commitments. Deliver site production and operational excellence and implement process improvements.What makes you greatYou have at least 5 years of experience in site operations or reliability activities.Strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in people management, leading, and mentoring direct reports.Industrial Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) experience.Warehouse, fast processing, and distribution experience is preferred.You are an effective communicator with a collaborative approach and excellent people management skills.You possess decision-making, prioritization, and time management skills.Demonstrated understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) and Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) processes.Willing to work in an afternoon shift (1:30 pm to 9:30 pm).Hold a clean driver''s license.Why you will love working with usAt Linde, we identify ourselves with our products whether working in the technical or medical gases business.
