This position ensures the implementation of best practices across scheduling, business capture, proposal decision gates, and colour team reviews.This role requires a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and an understanding of business development processes to ensure alignment with HDAs growth objectives.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the internal bid and phase review process for ASDEFCON responses creating high-quality & competitive proposals (RFQTS, ITR, RFI, RFP, etc.)Manage the bid schedule of proposal plans and presentations, phase and gate reviewsDevelop and responsible for bid and proposal budget management and relevant tracking and reportingProcess Ownership:Lead and manage the full business development lifecycle, ensuring structured and effective execution of decision gates and review processesOversee proposal governance including facilitating business development lifecycle business decision gates and colour team reviews, including bids and proposals financial management on behalf of the BDDDrive schedule discipline of BDM when bids are active, following the standard phase and gate review processProposal Governance:Oversee governance for bids and proposals, including financial management, and facilitate key business decision gates and colour team reviews on behalf of the Business Development Director (BDD)Strategic Networking:Establish and maintain robust inter- and intra-company networks to support collaborative bidding and project efforts, enhancing solution development, business growth, and profitabilityQualifications:Bachelors degree in business (or equivalent industry work experience)Experience:Experience in the Defence sector, specialising in Capture and Proposal ManagementHave led or been a part of defence industry responses to government contracts (ASDEFCON)Demonstrated Project Management capabilities (Preferred but not Essential)Experience in Capture and Proposal Management, including proficiency with the Shipley Bid Process (Or similar) will be highly regardedFinancial Management experience, including tracking and reportingPreferred Skills:High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skillsExceptional internal and external relationship managementAbility to coordinate, influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve aligned business development outcomesNavigate complexity and ambiguity to make effective commercial and financial decisionsAbility to translate technical information into clear, persuasive languageProject management skills to coordinate complex efforts and timelinesFinancial acumen to coordinate Pricing, budgeting, and financial analysisTo be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance (must be Australian Citizen).
