Our facility is based right in the heart of town.About the RoleThis role is ideally suited to someone with experience in civil engineering research, design, construction, operations, and maintenance, particularly within the building industry. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of house frames, trusses, and common building codes and practices, enabling accurate quoting and drawing of plans.Responsibilities:Detailing of house roofs and commercial projects using AppliCAD softwareCreating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, engineered plans, verbal instructions, and site visitsCollaborating with management, builders, project managers, design consultants, and subcontractors to produce and modify drawingsSupporting the project/sales team in design processes to create precise steel framing constructionsMaintaining and updating project drawing listsPrinting drawing sets for project and site managersOrganizing and saving sketches and drawings systematically on the CAD server, updating project folders and files as jobs progressReviewing drawings for errors before submission to architects, subcontractors, and project managersClarifying details with engineers and project managers when necessaryUploading drawings to web-based storage and collaboration sitesCreating, editing, and updating standard details for project useSkills / AbilitiesQualification in Civil EngineeringFurther studies to enhance skills are advantageousExtensive knowledge of house frames, trusses, and roofingUnderstanding of Australian Building Codes and practicesAbility to interpret house and building plansExperience with drawing in AppliCAD or similar programsExcellent communication skillsProactive approach to improving business processesReady to Apply?Click "Apply Now" to upload your CV and cover letter.
