Join our multinational team of intelligent, motivated, and collaborative people, and help us make financial protection accessible to all.Role overviewAs a member of RGA Australias underwriting team, this position will be responsible for delivering exceptional underwriting services in compliance with RGAs internal risk management philosophy and guidelines.Job functionsProvide consistent, timely, competitive decisions to exceed client expectations, whilst maintaining compliance with internal risk management guidelinesEffectively manage competing priorities and complete ad hoc project work as requiredDemonstrate positive, pro-active client focus, driving continuous improvementMaintain a thorough understanding of each client company and its method of operationDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with underwriters from all client companies in Australia and New Zealand and contribute to industry events, where requiredPositively contribute to a high performing teamKeep abreast of industry trends, legislative changes and product developments pertaining to underwritingSustain a thorough knowledge of reinsurance and specific RGA treaty practices as they pertain to the management and handling of transfer of risksQualifications & experienceAt least 5+ years underwriting experienceDemonstrated experience working as part of a high performing teamIndustry recognized qualification and/or accreditation in life insurance preferredRelevant tertiary qualification will be highly regardedRecent experience in URE development/underwriting process improvements/customer transformation project work considered favourableExcellent knowledge of medicine, law, accounting and finance as applied to the evaluation of life insurance risksSkills & competenciesEnthusiastic, energetic with high levels of drive for personal and business successStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence othersExceptional customer service focusAnalytical with demonstrated attention to detailExpert oral and written communication skills, demonstrating an ability to clearly convey concepts and ideas to all levels of management, associates and clientsDetailed knowledge of the life insurance industry, reinsurance market, products, practices and relevant insurance laws and their impact on client operationsAbility to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required#LI-JL2What you can expect from RGA:Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world.Enjoy a respectful, welcoming environment that fosters individuality and encourages pioneering thought.Join the bright and creative minds of RGA, and experience vast, endless career potential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
