The E Team role focuses on discharge cleaning for infectious patient rooms and act to reduce the risk of transmitting infections.The Role:Perform defined infection control cleaning tasks across the hospital wearing appropriate protective clothing using cleaning equipment/chemicals, including correct maintenance and use of equipment and chemicals.You will need:Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary cleaning practices, including an understanding of practices relating to infection control cleaning and the type of isolation/precautions required.Ability to work with minimal supervision with well developed organisational skills and ability to exercise a high level of initiative, judgement, confidentiality and discretionAbility to provide direction, training and support to less experienced staffNote: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why Tas mania:The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services.
