Purpose of PositionThe Events Sales Manager is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for driving event revenue and delivering premium experiences across SCTCs raceday and non-raceday venue portfolio.This is a commercially driven position that also owns the client experience - playing a key role in SCTCs year-round revenue growth while upholding the Clubs signature service standard at every stage.Position DetailsThis role leads the entire lifecycle of corporate hospitality bookings, private raceday events, and non-raceday venue hire - from lead generation and sales conversion through to event planning and client delivery.You will focus on consistently filling SCTCs venues through a mix of:Proactive prospecting and outbound salesReactivation of SCTCs sponsor, member, and visitor databaseInbound enquiry management and lead nurturingStrategic relationship building and business networkingOnce a booking is confirmed, youll take ownership of the event planning process - liaising with internal teams to ensure all event elements are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a premium standard.Key DutiesSales & Commercial GrowthDrive venue hire and hospitality sales across raceday and non-raceday dates by managing and converting new and existing leads.Develop tailored proposals for sponsors, corporates, private groups, and commercial clients.Prospect and pitch to new markets, including local businesses, tourism operators, education providers, and community organisations.Attend business events and networking opportunities to build SCTCs visibility and referral pipeline.Actively manage under-utilised dates and spaces to increase venue occupancy and yield.Lead Management & SystemsChampion Monday.com for pipeline, project, and team communication management.Maintain accurate, detailed CRM records for all leads and clients.Own enquiry handling, follow-ups, quoting, booking confirmations, and invoicing.Report weekly on pipeline progress, conversion success, and booking status.Event Planning & Experience DeliveryPlan and deliver all confirmed bookings end-to-end; including client liaison, timelines, run sheets, venue layouts, signage briefs, and dietary requirements.Liaise with internal teams (catering, bars and event operations) to ensure full alignment and timely handover via an Event Order.Remain the lead contact for the client throughout the event planning process, ensuring SCTCs service standards and brand presentation are maintained.Raceday & Non-Raceday ExecutionOversee the successful delivery of raceday and non-raceday events by coordinating with internal teams (venue operations, catering, bars) and ensuring all event elements are executed to plan.Liaise with external suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm services, and ensure timely delivery of styling, AV, entertainment, or hire equipment as required.Provide clear event documentation and pre-event briefings to all stakeholders to ensure accurate setup and service execution.Identify and support upsell opportunities where appropriate (e.g. premium packages, bar tabs, repeat bookings).SCTC Staff ValuesHonesty: Honest with ourselves and colleagues.Feeling comfortable to be open, building trust, acting with integrity.Collaboration: Focusing on the work while supporting each other to achieve our collective goals.Enjoyment: Enjoying the environment and team we work with.Excellence: Striving for persistent improvement, through continual learning, helping the team deliver the best possible results.Position Performance IndicatorsRevenue Growth: Hits venue hire and hospitality sales targets; grows raceday and non-raceday revenue.Pipeline Velocity: Keeps the pipeline full and movingproactively manages leads, follow-ups, and forecasting via Monday.com CRM.High Conversion: Consistently turns qualified enquiries into confirmed bookings with minimal delay or drop-off.Venue Optimisation: Lifts usage of underutilised venues and dates through strategic outreach and reactivation of existing databases.Client Satisfaction: Delivers smooth, well-managed events with positive client feedback and strong rebooking potential.Flawless Handover: Provides complete, timely event documentationrun sheets, floorplans, catering briefs, signage, and access details.Team Collaboration: Uses systems efficiently, communicates clearly, and enhances internal delivery through proactive collaboration.Qualifications / Skills3+ years'' experience in event sales, hospitality, or corporate event deliveryA proven ability to convert leads and manage a dynamic sales pipelineExcellent communication skills and a client-first mindsetConfidence using Monday.com, CRM systems, and creating event documentationA hands-on, proactive work style with a strong sense of accountabilityAn affinity for the racing, sport, tourism, or lifestyle sectors, and flexibility to work around an event-driven calendar #J-18808-Ljbffr
