If you are an organised and driven professional looking for a career as a Procurement Officer this opportunity is for you to join a growing Australian technology company.The candidate must be an Australian citizen and be eligible for a security clearance.About The RoleThis role is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of make-to-order items from externalvendors, and for managing on-time delivery and technical and quality issues relating to suchsupplies in accordance with EOS commercial, production, and supply chain managementobjectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalysing specifications and drawings, and sourcing and requesting quotes for supply of make-to-order materials and components for EOS production requirements.Communicate with vendors regarding specification and quality issues and request concessions, following EOS DS processes and procedures.Work with Production Planners to ensure adequate stock levels are held to align with the Production Schedule to meet company objectives.Maintain awareness of vendor lead times to deliver items critical to production. Negotiate changes to lead times with vendors as required, and update systems.Liaise with relevant EOS DS stakeholders as needed to resolve queries and to ensure all required information is available to complete the RFQ and purchase process.Key AttributesExcellent general verbal and written communication skillsPersuasive communication and influencing skillsInterest in engineering and production processes and detailsAttention to detail orientedSolution orientatedProblem SolverOrganised; with skills to plan aheadCollaborative team playerMeets tight deadlinesDemonstrates pragmatism and sound judgementQualifications And ExperienceMust be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing trade or degree qualificationComprehensive experience in international sourcing and procurement.Experience in interpreting requirements of, and sourcing products and materials using engineering drawings and specificationsExperience working with ERP systems and MRP systems.CIPS accreditations are highly regarded.APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) highly regardedReady to Apply?Join EOS and help shape the future of defence technology.
