About the businessBendigo Woollen Mills is an iconic Australian manufacturer of yarns and other wool products for crafters all around the world.Be a key part of this long standing and much loved Australian regional business!The RoleReporting to the General Manager, this role willtake charge of the daily leading of our warehouse in Bendigo.You will be responsible for leading the warehouse team, including stock and freight movements. Help to drive the warehouse team in productivity and meet outbound shipping KPIs. This role will closely work with the Management Team and will involve identifying opportunities for, and implementing, improvements within the warehousing environment. This role retains a hand-on element with 30-40% of your time working on the floor, alongside the team picking and dispatching orders.You will:Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal by supervising, organising, directing and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring and managing operational goals.Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management and shipping.Motivate staff on a daily basis, and give direction according to the daily priorities.Communicate transparently and regularly with the senior management team around wins and opportunities to ensure warehouse operations are optimised for current and future operational needs.Need to spend a few hours of your day workingand contributing on the floor as part of our picking/despatch team.The Successful CandidateOur new Warehouse Team Leader will have:A current forklift license.Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics or similar role.Excellent communication skills youll be working closely with our Management Team and Customer Service Teams, as well as our amazing picking crew.Outstanding organisational and time management skills.An innate drive for efficiency, procedural improvement, and setting high standards of operation.Experience in leading, coaching and implementing training methods to deliver a high-performing team.An ability to successfully navigate fluctuations in processing volume and high-pressure environments during peak seasonal periods.How to applyPlease include a cover letter demonstrating how your skills and experience satisfy the key performance attributes for this key role as well as your Resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
