Senior Operations Manager South Australia & Northern Territory FedEx is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our operations across South Australia and the Northern Territory. Based at our state-of-the-art Netley facility, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple sites, leading a team of managers and a workforce of 400+ team members. This critical senior leadership role within the South Australian transport industry involves strategic planning, financial oversight, people leadership, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will have the support to make a meaningful impact by driving performance and shaping the future of our regional operations. A key focus will be supporting local business growth and maximizing operational performance of our fleet, technology, and workforce to ensure a future-ready operation for our valued customers. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic planning for the site, including setting departmental goals and guiding the management team. Lead major projects involving significant operational changes. Develop regional strategies and coordinate planning and implementation to support business objectives. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Prepare and manage annual plans, including budgets and forecasts. Coach and develop leaders to foster a high-performing, engaged, and accountable team. What Will Help You Stand Out Extensive operational experience in transport or logistics. A commercially minded, evidence-based decision maker. Skills in financial management, asset management, and fleet maintenance. Operational experience with the ability to apply theory to practice. Process improvement qualifications (Lean / Six Sigma). Understanding of relevant legislative requirements. Strong planning and implementation skills. Budget management experience. Excellent reporting skills with experience presenting to various levels of management. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
