This is a high-impact and hands-on logistics position supporting freight optimisation, heavy vehicle planning, and operational transport across QLD assets.About This RoleBrunel are partnering with a leading energy business to recruit a Logistics Project Advisor for a 7-month maternity leave cover based in Chinchilla, QLD. This is a high-impact and hands-on logistics position supporting freight optimisation, heavy vehicle planning, and operational transport across QLD assets.Please note: This is a residential role. Only applicants who are based in Chinchilla or willing to relocate for the contract duration will be considered. Accommodation assistance may be available for the right candidate.As Logistics Project Advisor, you''ll play a key role in supporting safe, cost-effective end-to-end transport operations across the organisation''s QLD footprint. You''ll work closely with field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to optimise heavy vehicle utilisation, streamline freight coordination, and contribute to key performance and cost metrics.Duties include:Aggregate road freight demand across Projects, Wells, and OperationsOptimise use of 30+ heavy vehicles, 60+ trailers, and 50+ operators across 100,000+ transport tasks annuallySupport review and analysis of transport spend and operating budgetsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and drive CI initiativesProvide transport-related advisory support during contract pre-award stagesEnsure compliance with HSSE requirements and relevant transport regulationsCollaborate with supply chain, contractors, and end users to enhance logistics performanceTrack and report against key logistics KPIsRequirementsStrong background in freight forwarding, road transport, and customsProven experience in logistics coordination and scheduling optimisationCommercial and analytical mindset with a focus on utilisation and efficiencyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsCommitted to HSSE leadership and continuous improvementComfortable working with logistics systems (SAP Blueprint, mInventory, or similar)BenefitsAttractive negotiable day rate!Salary SacrificingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Corporate discountsAbout BrunelBrunel is a recruitment and flexible workforce solution provider which connects talented people with opportunities throughout Australasia and around the world.
