The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our IFS Cloud database systems hosted on premises. This role requires a deep understanding of IFS Cloud, IFS Apps10 applications, integration with our MES, database management, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of our data.US-Ohio-BurtonOverviewWe are seeking an experienced IFS Cloud On-Premises Administrator/DBA to join our HEXPOL IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our IFS Cloud database systems hosted on premises. This role requires a deep understanding of IFS Cloud, IFS Apps10 applications, integration with our MES, database management, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of our data.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain IFS Cloud and APPS 10 databases on-premises Monitor database performance and perform tuning to ensure optimal performanceImplement and manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery plansPerform regular database maintenance tasks such as updates, patching, and upgradesBuild and maintain user roles and permissions and event configurationEnsure data integrity and consistency across the database environmentManage user access and permissions to ensure security and compliance with policies and manage IFS licenseOptimize Oracle, SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issuesProvide support for database-related issues and incidents, including on-call support as neededCollaborate with IFS Modules, with application developers and other IT staff to resolve issues and improve system performance. Creates and manages APIsDocument database configurations, procedures, and issues for reference and complianceImplement and monitor security measures to safeguard sensitive dataEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standardsRegularly review and update security protocols and access controlsContinuously monitor database performance, conduct performance tuning, and resolve issues to ensure efficient operationWork closely with HEXPOL team and IFS consultants, developers, and other stakeholders to support database needsCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to address and resolve issuesImplement and manage backup strategies, ensuring regular backups are taken and can be restored when neededMaintain database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and other security measures to protect sensitive dataGenerate and analyze database reports to support decision-making and business operations. Using IFS Cloud lobbiesMaintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, configurations, and proceduresMay require occasional on-call support and after-hours work for maintenance or emergenciesQualificationsBachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience as a DBA, with specific experience in managing IFS Cloud on-premises and Azure hosted cloud databaseProven experience with database installation, configuration, and maintenanceStrong knowledge of Oracle, SQL, SSRS IFS Quick Reports, Lobbies and database performance tuning. Creating SQL Data SourceProficiency in database management tools and softwareExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant certifications e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, JSON/JASON Connectivity and IFS Cloud Certification, IFS Cloud Administrator are preferred.Additional InformationHEXPOL Compounding Americas (HCA) is an essential early contributor to the global value chain responsible for the safety, quality, and performance of rubber compounding products and components used by original equipment manufacturers across a range of industries.
