Assist in ensuring the safe, functional and efficient operation of all facilities, equipment and systems to provide a comfortable and productive environmentFACILITIES OFFICERThe roleThe Facilities Officer will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the organisations physical infrastructure. Assist in ensuring the safe, functional and efficient operation of all facilities, equipment and systems to provide a comfortable and productive environmentFurther, the successful candidate will:Assist the Senior Facilities Manager with Facilities tasks including but not limited to:Undertaking maintenance activitiesPerforming escorting dutiesEnsuring compliance of contractor works including inductions, work permits, WHS obligations and Job Safety Analysis / Safe Work Method StatementsLiaising with internal stakeholdersResponding to facility-related requests and issues promptly and efficientlyProviding after-hours accessProviding general administrative support to the facilities team; andParticipating in facilities improvement projects as directedParticipate on the Facilities on-call roster as required.Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, Health & safety, Bullying, Harassment, Violence and Aggression, and duty of care and the quality management system.Treat everyone with respect, communicate regularly and openly with my manager and team, and ensure all my decisions are made with fairness in mind.Perform other duties as assigned.About YouYour skills and experience will include:1-2 years experience in Property/Facilities management is desirable but not essentialAn understanding of Building Management Systems & asset and maintenance management systems (desirable)An ability to work independently and as part of a teamDemonstrated ethical, honest, and trustworthy behaviorWillingness to actively contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture and demonstrate behaviors that reflect company valuesCurrently undertaking or recently completed a Diploma or Certificate in Facilities Management or a related field (desirable)Valid drivers license (desirable)Working at heights certification (desirable)Permit issuer certification (desirable)A defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain oneThis is a 2-year Full time contract and we are flexible to look at applications for part time or full-time.About UsSaab Australia is a defence, security and cyber solutions provider, specialising in the development and integration of major defence and security systems.
