The section also facilitates the transfer of analogue and digital records into custody, with an increasing digital focus, manages storage services and projects, provides lending services and transfers, and supports Machinery of Government changes along with various national strategies, plans, and programs.The successful applicant will help embed digital service delivery and capability within the Collection Operations section for transferring digital archival records into the National Archives'' custody. They will support and enable the National Archives Strategy 2030, which aims to ensure that by 2030, processes, systems, and technology platforms enable efficient selection, transfer, control, preservation, and ongoing use of Australian Government archival information and data in all formats. They will also drive innovation to increase digital transfer maturity aligned with organizational transformation activities.This position will manage a small team responsible for planning and managing transfers, focusing on digital records (born-digital and digitized), across various digital formats. The role includes coordinating digital transfer activities, reporting, and providing internal and external advice and engagement.Requirements: Qualifications in information studies, archival or conservation science, or related disciplines are desirable. Qualifications in computer science or related fields may also be relevant.
