This role works closely with the timetabling team to ensure accurate scheduling, responsive service delivery, and continuous improvement of timetabling processes. The Senior Timetabling Officer also contributes to training, stakeholder engagement, and complex issue resolution, working predominantly co-located with clients across UQ.Key Responsibilities Will IncludeTimetable Production & Allocation SupportProvide high-level administrative support for class timetables, including data collection, validation, configuration, and scheduling of teaching activities. Assist with the class allocation process, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness to user needs.Stakeholder Support & Conflict ResolutionOffer day-to-day support and advice to academic and professional staff on timetabling and room booking matters, managing complex or escalated queries. Collaborate with various university units to understand teaching requirements and resolve scheduling conflicts.Training & Quality AssuranceContribute to the development and delivery of training and instructional materials, providing on-the-job guidance to junior team members. Review the accuracy of information in timetabling systems and publications, helping to maintain high-quality data.Process Improvement & Team ContributionSupport the Timetabling Coordinator in identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery and team effectiveness. Deputize for the Coordinator when required, support other team members, and undertake various duties and project work as directed.About YouDegree/qualifications with relevant experience in student and academic administration.Demonstrated experience in timetabling and resource allocation within a large tertiary institution, with proficiency in scheduling systems, or equivalent experience in database management and operational coordination.Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and adapt to shifting demands in a dynamic environment.Demonstrated ability to work independently and flexibly with minimal supervision, while effectively collaborating with and supporting team members to achieve goals. Exhibits strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, building and maintaining effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.Well-developed analytical skills, with the ability to navigate and interpret data to provide accurate advice on complex matters. Shows a demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and continuous service improvement, including familiarity with student administration systems and reporting tools.You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
