Job Description - Conference & Events Manager - NT Cluster (HOT0BQD5)Conference & Events Manager - NT Cluster (Job Number: HOT0BQD5)Work Location: Hilton Darwin, 32 Mitchell Street, Darwin 800A Conference and Events Manager for Hilton Hotels and Resorts leads and manages both the team and the commercial performance of the event sales and event planning teams. The role focuses on proactively driving the commercial success of our four Northern Territory hotels.What will I be doing?As Conference and Events Manager for the NT Cluster, you will manage the Conference & Event teams to convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales and ensure exceptional guest experiences for groups, events, and individual travelers staying at Hilton Darwin, DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin, Hilton Garden Inn - Darwin, and DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs.You will be responsible for:Maximizing all Conference and Event commercial opportunitiesReviewing business plans, identifying gaps, and proactively filling capacity to meet targetsContributing to the hotels'' commercial strategy and ensuring departmental adherenceUnderstanding the competitive marketplace and implementing strategies to stay aheadAccount managing regular event clientsLeading the conference and events teams, fostering a high-quality culture focused on relationships, customer service, and profitabilityDeveloping the Event Sales Team for career progression and succession planningSupporting hotel promotional activitiesWhat are we looking for?The ideal candidate will have:Experience in a Conference and Events Sales role within the hotel/leisure sectorStrong analytical skills to interpret business indicators and market trendsExcellent sales, conversion, and coaching abilitiesStrong planning and organizational skillsResponsibility, resilience, and ability to work under pressureFlexibility in handling various work situationsPreferred qualifications include:Knowledge of hotel property management systemsPrevious similar role experienceWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?Hilton is a leading global hospitality company offering a wide range of accommodations worldwide.
