The role ensures that business rules, processes, and systems are in place, manages risks and controls, and maximizes financial opportunities within contractual T&Cs to deliver best practice contract performance. Whats involved Drive governance, assurance, and best practices across all contracts Develop and maintain a contract reporting framework and dashboards Lead continuous improvement by collaborating with stakeholders to implement change initiatives and innovative solutions that improve productivity and efficiency for Austal and its customers Sustain and develop relationships with key Contract Stakeholders internally and externally to keep them informed of Contract status Manage the currency of Contractual artefacts and associated communication, especially regarding ASDEFCON policy and procedures Maintain close liaison with Austal Functional Departments for governance, oversight, and leveraging commercial opportunities and improvements Manage and maintain a professional network to stay current with industry best practices Youll need Australian Citizenship (required for Baseline Security Clearance) Understanding of contract management principles and practices Degree in Business, Law, or Commerce Contract Management Qualification (e.g., IACCM, CIPS, or equivalent) Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with well-developed influencing abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide technical leadership and build strong relationships across teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office Valid Construction Safety Induction (White Card) Understanding of CASG contract mechanisms Degree in Supply Chain or related field Experience in supply chain management Understanding of project management principles Why Austal Competitive salary and benefits Professional development and training Supportive and dynamic work environment Career advancement opportunities Our global team upholds core values: Excellence, Customer Focus, Integrity, and Teamwork.
