You will be responsible for maintaining and growing our commercial procurement relationships, identifying new major account opportunities, and expanding our customer network.While based at our Braeside head office, this role offers national exposure through participation in industry events and networking opportunities. Extensive domestic travel is involved and some international travel, ensuring strong relationships with customers and industry partners. If you thrive in a sales-driven environment where exceeding targets is the norm, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in key industry sectors, including mining and quarrying.Build and maintain strong professional relationships with procurement, engineering, and maintenance teams.Lead the consultative sales process, prepare sales quotations, and contribute to tenders.Actively engage in industry events and networking opportunities.Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs.Extensive travel involved to maintain and develop key client relationships.Key Requirements:Technical Capabilities & Experience:Minimum 12 months of experience in engineering solutions-based business development with a proven sales track record.Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant commercial experience in the engineering sector.Strong communication skills written, spoken, and presentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet business development deadlines.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP management information systems is advantageous.Existing contacts within Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).Must have full Australian work rights and a valid passport.This position is subject to a mandatory police check.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.A collaborative approach to teamwork and problem-solving.A proactive attitude towards customer satisfaction and meeting high-quality standards.Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and deliver results in a systematic and methodical manner.High motivation to exceed sales targets and KPIs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
