Our mission is upheld by passionate individuals who embody a profound affinity for animals, community, and advocacy.About the role:We are currently seeking a Veterinary Nurse Team Leader on a full-time basis, who will be responsible for overseeing and assisting the coordination of our dedicated Cranbourne Shelter Veterinary Nurses. The Veterinary Nurse Team Leader will assist the Shelter Veterinary Medicine Team to provide efficient, streamlined and compassionate veterinary services for animals in our care.Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing the Shelter Veterinary Nurses,Developing a positive team ethos within the immediate team through positive participation and communication,Work collaboratively with other department team leaders and managers to achieve organisational goalsTraining staff in appropriate safe and stress-free nursing and animal handling techniques,Overseeing preparation of rosters within budget ensuring leave coverage,Reviewing, developing and implementing team and organisation protocols,Ensuring quality animal care by liaising with the Lead Veterinarian,Ensuring comprehensive records of admissions, care, treatments, rehabilitations and outcomes are maintained, and,Carrying out veterinary related tasks under the guidance of the veterinarian.About you:We are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to lead and manage a team of dedicated veterinary nurses - a natural leader to cultivate a good working environment.
