As a newly formed entity, Experience Gold Coast is focused on supercharging tourism, events, arts & culture, and education outcomes for the City of Gold Coast.About the RoleExperience Gold Coast is seeking a proactive, strategic, and relationship-driven Event Partnerships Lead to help shape the citys major event landscape.In this exciting role, youll work within EGCs Event Partnerships Program, supporting the attraction and acquisition of high-value festivals and events that deliver economic, social, and reputational benefits to the city.This position is on a 6-month fixed term contract, primarily responsible for managing deliverables and stakeholders for major international sporting events while also supporting other team priorities.Youll play a key role in negotiations, build lasting relationships with event organisers and stakeholders, and help curate a world-class events that position the Gold Coast as Australias premier lifestyle destination.What Youll DoSource, secure and manage a diverse range of events supported through EGCs Event Partnerships Program.Build and nurture strong relationships with event organisers, venues, City of Gold Coast, Tourism and Events Queensland and other industry partners.Prepare investment proposals, negotiate event funding agreements and manage benefits and deliverables to deliver maximum value to the city.Provide strategic insight to improve program delivery, stakeholder engagement, event evaluation and reporting.Collaborate with the Partnerships Director and broader team to shape and refine all aspects of the Event Partnerships Program.Oversee the management of multiple complex projects and budgets in line with corporate policies.Stay across global trends in event acquisition to ensure the Gold Coast remains competitive and innovative.What Youll Bring5+ years experience in events, sponsorship or grant management.Proven ability to prepare and manage funding or sponsorship agreements.Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience across government, industry and venue partners.Excellent time management, negotiation and organisational abilities.Comfort working both in a professional office setting and on the ground at events.Willingness to work flexible hours as required.What Sets You Apart:Youre a confident negotiator and creative thinker with a deep understanding of stakeholder engagement partnerships and/ or event delivery.A strategic mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to the citys major events future.Why Join Us?Here at EGC, our staff enjoy a range of staff benefits including the following:4 days of Empowerment Time per year to focus on personal growth and wellbeingSonder our team member care systemAccess to Learning Lab with up to 1,000 development coursesDiscounts on food & beverage at the HOTA precinct (HOTA Caf, The Exhibitionist, and Palette Restaurant)Discounted tickets to cinema, events, and activitiesThis role is based on the Gold Coast, Queensland and requires flexibility in hours and locations of work.How to ApplyIf you''re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of an organisation that prioritises people, wed love to hear from you!To apply for this position, please submit a brief cover letter along with your resume.Experience Gold Coast values diversity and inclusion.
