Whittens is an Australian owned and operated multidisciplined civil construction company, proudly offering over 24 years'' experience throughout Western Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland.With a growing reputation, we continue to partner with some of Australia''s major Infrastructure, Mining, Oil and Gas and Defence clients, specialising in the delivery of large scale and technically complex concrete construction, roadworks, earthworks, and piping works projects.Our mission, as an agile and people centric business, is to be the market leader in civil contracting, achieving sustainable growth through high performing people who safely deliver successful project outcomes for their clients.Your OpportunityWe are currently recruiting a Senior Supervisor with extensive experience in FRP projects and with a genuine interest to positively influence project delivery and promote a memorable culture at Whittens.About The RoleReporting to the Project Manager, your overall responsibility is to provide onsite leadership coordination and oversite of the construction workforce including supervisors, direct labour, subcontractors, and plant, ensuring all construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively meeting client, HSE, quality, time, budget, and contractual requirements. Other duties include:Supporting the Superintendents to champion a culture of high performance onsiteContribute to the manning schedule to ensure adequately skilled and qualified candidates are planned for the project and take lead on the technical aspects of the job requirements during interviewsSupport the Project team in the delivery of FRP program(s), including participation in weekly reviewsEnsure agreed work program requirements are met for each component of the project and report variances to Project ManagerContribute to and build a strong safety cultureSound knowledge and understanding of the Contract to ensure ongoing compliance with the scope of work, specifications, drawings and subcontractsProvide effective communication, information flows, procedures and records necessary to facilitate delivery of contract and quality requirementsTo Be Successful, You Will Have The FollowingPrevious experience as a Senior Supervisor (Concrete) overseeing large FRP Projects - A mustDemonstrated experience working for a Civil Contractor in a FIFO/DIDO capacityExcellent planning, monitoring and documentation skillsDemonstrated safety and environmental leadership behaviourSelf-starter, with well-developed organisational and stakeholder management skillsFlexible and able to work under pressure and to deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to problem solveWhat we offerWhittens are committed to investing in our people, offering learning and development opportunities to build on the skills and experience you bring.
