Referrals will come from a variety of sources; the member, medical team and Command, offering diversity in presentations and support requests. The support you will offer begins with initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need. There is scope for the use of psychometrics and engagement in treatment that capitalises on your skills, interests and scope of practice. You will have autonomy to manage your caseload including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and the provision of internal treatment to Defence members. Additionally, your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning is supported within a multi-disciplinary team.We have multiple permanent Part Time opportunities working Monday to Wednesday OR Wednesday to Friday. If you are interested in Full Time working Monday - Friday, this can also be discussed.To Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveAustralian Citizenship for Commonwealth security clearance requirementsThe highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessmentand delivering a range of evidence based ''Focussed Psychological Strategies'' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).About Enoggera Health CentreEnoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately 8000 members. The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).About YouYou are a passionate and dedicated mental health professional who is committed to providing the highest quality healthcare to those in need.
