initiative aimed at making Australia the dominant nation in female surfing by:Identifying, nurturing and developing the next generation of Australian female surfing talentTo build a strong and sustainable female national coaching network that empowers and supports long-term athlete success.ROLE PURPOSEThe Program Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the Program across Australia in the following ways;Finalise Program Development Strategy and Operational PlanLiaise with States on individual State priorities, collaborate on program deliverables and finalise MOUs with each State Body.Identify, recruit and onboard Coach Development LeadSupport States with identifying, selecting and onboarding of State Program Leads based off State and HP recommendationsSupport States with identifying, selecting and onboarding of coaches for regional hubs based off State and HP recommendationsLiaise with Selection Panel to coordinate athlete selections for each program phaseManage program budget and finance, including, tracking and acquittalsPlan and deliver multiple National Camps for athletes each yearManagement of performance support activity and allocation of Wave Pool and Strike fundingSupport the Coach Development Lead with development strategy for all program coaches including development camps and identifying mentoring opportunitiesLiaise with Program Specialist Guests to ensure deliverables and program alignmentReview and report on program outcomes to significant donor and stakeholdersLocate facilities and businesses to partner with the and varying agendas.Adapting to ways of working that includes cross discipline delivery of performance support requiring close liaison with discipline expertiseKEY RELATIONSHIPSInternal: NHPD, Head of Pathway Program, SA HPP Coaches, Pathways Operational Manager, EA to HPD, Coach Development Lead, Head of Participation & CommunityExternal: State Bodies, Network Coaches, Athletes, Parents, 3rd party travel providers, external Performance Support Providers.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESOperations and Reporting:Attend regular meetings with the Head of Pathway, Pathway Operations Manager, relevant coaches and State BodiesReview and report on program activities.Manage Program issues professionally in conjunction with partners, as required.Professional management of facilities and resources, and effective financial and administrative coordination where required.Ensure best practice resources are followed and consult with SA HPP for directionActively align with strategy, direction and best practice principles set out.Support Coach development Lead to ensuring Program Coaches are upskilling and have access to development camps, PD opportunities and mentoring & reporting requirements are metEstablish mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with athletes, coaches, key stakeholders, other providers, teams and admin staff.Identify and recruit key personnelEnsure quality data capture, analysis and reporting process using required system/sport platforms.Lead effective financial and administrative coordination requirements where applicable.Manage issues professionallyEnsure reporting requirements are metGeneral:Ability to travel domesticallyWorking with children clearance.Interest and passion for the sport surfingFirst aid certificateDrivers licenseRepresent SA as requiredWork collaboratively with other internal Departments towards organisational outcomesAdhere to all the SA policies and procedures, particularly the Code of ConductReflect the SA values in contractors.SUCCESS PROFILEExperience:3 + years in a high performance sport environmentProven experience in program management and deliveryDemonstrated commitment to work in a multi-disciplinary/sport team environment with high performance athletes and coaches.Experience in supervising staff to achieve performance outcomes.Experience in operating and managing quality control and quality assuranceKnowledge:Progression Surf Coach or equivalent Coaching qualification is desirable (not essential)Knowledge and understanding of Australian High Performance sport systems and the Australian Surfing PathwayUnderstanding the requirements of High Performance athletes and coachesIntermediate knowledge of MS OfficeFirst aid and resuscitation certificateWorking with children checkAligning
