Account Managers manage a broad range of accounts and ensures that client objectives are delivered upon whilst looking to maximise cross selling opportunities.This role is responsible for delivering revenue for Melbourne Royal and managing client accounts, in particular, but not limited to: Venue/Melbourne Showgrounds external events Melbourne Royal Show (Show) Sponsorship, partnerships, supply rights, brand investors, exhibitors, digital assets and onsite advertising Food & Beverage Award Programs (Wine, Beer, Distilled Spirits & Food and any other new programs) sponsorship and partnershipsKey responsibilities:You will focus on driving revenue growth for Melbourne Royal by managing various aspects of venue bookings, show sponsorships, and awards sponsorships.A key focus of this role will be growing and servicing the Venue business, including managing venue clients, securing new external events, and collaborating with the event planning and operations team to deliver successful event outcomes. Additional responsibilities include pitching proposals, servicing accounts, securing exhibitors, and supporting the delivery of sponsor entitlements.The role involves championing designated pillars such as Venue Sales, exhibitions, and F&B sponsorships, as well as building strong relationships across assigned industries.Desired Skills and ExperienceWe are seeking candidates who have substantial experience and a record of achievement in venue or event sales, along with a deep understanding of client account management. A background in event delivery, venue sales strategy, and business development within a venue or precinct environment will be highly regarded.In addition, candidates must have strong relationship skills, excellent interpersonal skills as well as a high level of professionalism.It is essential that candidates have sound skills with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook.
