The Asset Management Analyst will report to the Asset Management team and provide analytical support and reporting to drive the performance of a growing portfolio of Real Estate assets, across multiple asset types and locations, while also playing a key role in transitioning the asset management platform to more a structured, consistent and scalable model.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide analytical support across the portfolio, building and maintaining financial models, ensuring consistency and quality of data.Assist in the development of asset and portfolio business plans, then highlight performance against those plans throughout the year, identifying key risks and opportunities, and providing actionable insights.Provide support through capital events, including refinancings, dispositions, equity recapitalizations, and acquisitions.Provide support to internal capital raise teams on potential new deal underwriting, leveraging knowledge of both market and internal income and operating expense data.Maintain understanding and ensure compliance of relevant partnership agreements, loan covenants, and other contracts. Identify potential risks associated with these agreements and communicate timely and present mitigation strategies to senior leadership.Work closely with property management teams to obtain timely operating performance data and provide individual and consolidated reporting as required to senior leadership and for inclusion in external partner reports.Develop understanding of local market conditions in all relevant sub-markets. Provide strategic analysis and recommendations for maximizing profit and minimizing risk by leveraging this knowledge.Provide ongoing portfolio-wide analysis and look to maximize and share operating best practices and efficiencies between individual assets.Seek out opportunities to optimize revenue, identify new income streams and reduce expenses within a portfolio.Provide guidance on capital improvement projects, unit renovations, leasing activities, marketing initiatives, revenue enhancement alternatives and expense management.In coordination with property managers, set, coordinate and maintain property management budgets throughout the year.Collaborate productively with internal functions groups, including Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Development, and Investor Relations.Identify technologies to enhance operational excellence and performance across the portfolio.Provide strategic input regarding hold/sell decisions incorporating operations and capital markets knowledge.General Background and Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree required, ideally in real estate, finance, business or a related field.2-4 years of real estate investment or asset management experience including involvement in operational, asset and portfolio strategies.
