Based in Darwin, AMSANT advocates for Aboriginal health equity and supports the delivery of high-quality, culturally appropriate primary health care services across remote and urban communities. With over two decades of experience, AMSANT plays a vital leadership role in policy development, capacity building, workforce support, and sector coordination. We work closely with our member services, governments, and other stakeholders to influence health reform and improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal people in the NT.AMSANT is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join the team in Darwin, NT. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the HR Manager will lead AMSANT''s HR operations and strategy, ensuring compliance, engagement, and alignment with organisational values and strategic goals.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Leading the development and implementation of HR policies, systems, and compliance processesSupporting AMSANTs cultural framework and fostering a safe, inclusive workplaceAdvising managers on employee relations, performance, EBA interpretation and risk mitigationCoordinating recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and succession planningOverseeing employee data, HR systems, and recordkeepingEnsuring AMSANTs compliance with Fair Work, WHS, industrial relations, and insurance mattersManaging industrial relation matters, workplace issues, and complex HR casesProviding training, coaching, and support to managers and staff across departmentsTo be successful, youll need at least 4 years of generalist HR experience and strong knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and employee relations.You will bring:Strong analytical skills to interpret and communicate HR data and compliance obligationsDemonstrated experience coaching managers through industrial relations and HR best practiceStrong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in multicultural environmentsHigh-level planning and organisational skills to manage HR systems and processesExperience with HRIS and workforce planningHighly regarded experience includes:Prior experience in not-for-profit or community-controlled organisationsIn-depth knowledge of the Fair Work Act, WHS legislation, and enterprise agreementsExperience managing workplace compensation cases and risk-related HR issuesAMSANT is seeking more than just a technically skilled HR professional were looking for a people-first leader who embraces change and champions culture.
