As a large not-for-profit with in excess of AU$150 million in annual revenue, Indie Education is a mission-powered not-for-profit regulated by the ACNC and every major state and federal education authority.As we enter the next phase of growth, we seek an accomplished Executive Manager of Finance to steer our financial strategy and partner with our executive leaders across Australia. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Indie Services, you will set the strategic finance agenda, guide long-range planning and ensure robust financial stewardship of the wider group. You will lead a team of finance professionals, assisted in the day-to-day management of the team by the Head of Finance. This is a hands-on, in-office leadership role for a postgraduate-qualified finance professional who wants to see their strategic thinking have a tangible impact on the lives of young people.Key ResponsibilitiesUnder direction of Executive Leadership prepare strategic plans and budgets design and maintain a rolling five-year financial strategy.Act as finance lead on AWARE DES funding, acquittals and NDIA compliance.Ensure adherence to State and Federal statutory requirements.Provide board-level analysis, modelling and advice for major projectsOversee group budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow optimisationEnsure accurate, timely statutory and management reporting in line regulatory obligationsMaintain robust internal-control frameworks, risk management and audit readinessAbout YouPost-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (e.g. MBA, MFin, MPA).CA/CPA highly regarded but not essential.Minimum five (5) years success in a comparable senior-finance role within an Education or NFP environment.Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, capital management and government-funded programs.Advanced ERP/reporting skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making.Authentic, influential leader able to translate strategy into operational outcomes.For this position with our company, applicants must be willing and able to provide annually:National Police Check issued in the 3 months prior to offer and renewed annually.Working with ChildrenCheck for relevant state(s)Inclusions:A company car, laptop and phone are provided with this position.Public Benevolent Institute (PBI) salary packaging is on offer through Maxxia.To Apply:All applicants must submit a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) via Seek and a current resume.
