POSITION SUMMARY:The Lifestyle Director is responsible for managing operations, maintenance, and oversight of community events. This includes social, recreational, leisure-time, and related activities. The role takes point on promotion and charge of all events and volunteers, ensuring a safe, helpful, and clean working environment. As directed by the General Manager, this position complies with and enforces the community rules while proactively creating a community-focused experience. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond to phone, email, and correspondence inquiries from residents, leasing consultants, and management team. Schedule, plan, organize, and attend activities and events; this includes facilitating speakers, classes, special interest activities, etc. Create, print, and distribute various communications, such as flyers, tickets, and the community newsletter. Sell advertising and maintain records/billing to advertisers and all other communication pertaining to the newsletter. Coordinate and administer the community website. Enlist and oversee any volunteer social committee(s). Coordinate and hire independent instructors as needed. Document and maintain records of all events for future use. Maintain various Association files and obtain necessary credentials/certifications and advise on any necessary social event insurance. Facilitate and maintain relationships with neighboring businesses to ensure positive and longstanding relationships within the community. Other duties and special projects as assigned. OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Education/Training:Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) in Marketing, Communication, Hospitality, or related field from a two-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, marketing, and customer service principles and practices. Computer literacy: Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva (or equivalent). Special Requirements:Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; Standing, sitting, and walking. The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time, as well as talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. On-call 24/7. Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on project requirements. Driving when necessary.
