In this hands-on role, reporting to the Quality Manager, you will monitor our production and warehouse process to ensure our products adhere to food safety standards, investigate deviations and make improvements where needed.Responsibilities of this role include:Driving the importance of Quality Assurance throughout the organisationConsult with operational team members to ensure that all products and incoming goods are safe, hygienic, and aligned with supplier / customer or business specificationTaking a lead role with audits by customers or regulatory bodies and ensuring recommendations / non-conformance actions are followed upEnsuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) are maintainedInvestigation and reporting associated with quality deviations including recommendations for process improvementAssisting the Quality Manager in ensuring the Quality team is appropriately resourcedCoaching and mentoring of junior members of the teamSkills and Experiences:About You5 years previous experience within a quality positionPrevious experience within a retail ready food safety environment, including knowledge of HACCP, GMP & other relevant food safety standardsA passion to educate others and embed a culture of quality across the businessWell-developed problem-solving skills, the ability to think beyond the present and consider all facts and alternatives through consultation and opennessOwnership of outcomes, even during challenging timesA team focus, building harmonious and positive alliances with othersWhy Choose Us:Were a long-standing, integrated food business that values doing things properly.
