Here youll find challenges that excite you and development opportunities to build a lifelong career.Position is located in Christchurch New ZealandWhat You Will Do:As a Software Engineering Project Team Lead with Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT), youll have the unique opportunity to lead, inspire, and support one of our software engineering product teams, implementing features in software developed for technicians and operators of earthmoving and paving machines.Our software is used on machines like Dozers and Excavators, using lasers and GPS. It helps enable these machines to work at level heights.Join us in the field, sit onboard and see for yourself how our technology is literally groundbreaking!Position Responsibilities:Leading, inspiring, and supporting an existing team of software engineers and alpha testers, including goal setting, performance management, and career planningProviding technical guidance to team members, and helping to remove roadblocks for them.Development and evolution of solutions on embedded Linux and native Android, using C++, Java, and Kotlin and web applications using Angular and TypeScriptFacilitating the efficient application of each persons time to prioritize work by allocation and monitoring of tasks at a level of detail appropriate to each personYoull have a genuine interest in developing yourself, as well as othersCollaborating across geographically dispersed CTCT sites to drive continuous improvements in software development processes.Skills / Knowledge / Experience you should bring:Experience in at least one of the following but ideally two: C++ / Native Android Development / Web DevelopmentPreviously led projects and owned them through to completionAbility to work proactively, with limited direction, and manage projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment across multiple time zonesStrong analytical and decision-making skillsDemonstrable solid experience working as a Software Engineer at the Senior/Lead levelWorking with globally dispersed teams is a plus.About the location: Based at Trimbles NZ headquarters in Christchurch, enjoy free parking and an onsite gym.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on degree and professional industry working experience.
