Part-time (4 days per week. 0.8 FTE) arrangements may also be considered.In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the development, coordination, and implementation of projects with direct business impact and firm deadlines. This includes applying effective project planning and governance throughout the project life cycle. You may also manage a team of supporting project staff and will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks that could impact the project''s success.This project aims to recruit up to 1,000 participants, making it essential to have a dedicated project management professional to ensure that all work is completed satisfactorily and meets the complex requirements of the trial.Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):Manage all phases of assigned projects, from initiation to close-out, utilising appropriate project management methodologies to achieve outcomes.Develop project documentation, including business cases, work plans, timelines, and communication strategies, while building relationships with stakeholders to establish clear objectives.Ensure effective communication with project teams and stakeholders, maintaining productive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and manage resources, risks, and impacts related to the project, overseeing both internal and external resources, including procurement of third-party services.Chair stakeholder meetings, monitor project milestones, and conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project success and performance.Who we are looking for:Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience; or extensive relevant project management experience and expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.Previous experience in the conduct, implementation or management of clinical trials, including contracts, budgets and ethics applications.Demonstrated ability to operate effectively as a member of, and manage, a small team of project staff.Demonstrated decision-making skills and the ability to solve problems discretely by using innovation and exercising diagnostic skills within areas of functional responsibility or professional expertise.Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communication with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and a wide variety of people with cross-cultural sensitivity.Demonstrated computer literacy in databases, word processing and spreadsheets.Demonstrated sharp attention to detail and evidence of ability to adhere strictly to protocol and working guidelinesDesirablePrevious experience in a tertiary environment.A formal certification/accreditation in project management.Clinical expertise in an area of research aligned with cardiovascular medicine or gastroenterology/hepatology clinical trialsRole Requirements:As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this roleSuccessful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtins satisfaction.About Curtin UniversityWe are an energetic, dedicated team of academics and professionals working together to provide global solutions through quality graduates and innovative research.
