Job Description

OverviewThe Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will report to and work closely with the Director FP&A to oversee financial process optimisation, ensure accurate timely financial reporting and provide strategic financial insights and detailed financial analysis, partnering with functional teams to drive continual growth. The role will contribute to the Short, Mid and Long-Term Planning, Budgeting, Divisional and Corporate Reporting, including providing scenario analysis and evaluations.ResponsibilitiesGeneralContribute to strategic direction of the FP&A function for the APAC region to optimize performance.Be a key player in achieving the operation and financial objectives of the region.Collaborate with functional teams effectively managing expenditure for APAC including expenditure management providing insight to key driver influences.Contribute to the banner planning process to ensure expenditure builds for wages, occupancy, marketing and other expenses. Consider market dynamics, projects, store capital programs and investment in digital solutions.Proactively identify and implement process improvements and efficiency including contribution to Global technology initiatives.AccountingContribute to the month end process, ensuring month end and year end cut offs are accurate and comply with Foot Locker Accounting policies and relevant US GAAP and local statutory requirements.Support audit requirements activities including SOX compliance and relevant quarterly and year end representation letters.Capital & Strategic PlanningContribute to the Short, Mid and Long-Term Strategic Planning process for expenditure for APACWork with functional and finance partners (operations, real estate and marketing) to support the building of the expenditure plan.Analysis, Forecasting & ReportingPrepare forecast expenditure reports and details, ensuring APAC submissions are provided in line with Global requirements including appropriate insight into the APAC business.Contribute to effective communication of the financial results of APAC with the Global FP&A team and manage business timelines to ensure deliverables are clear.Critically analyze the financial performance of the APAC business, providing insight and leading the conversation around KPI performance and highlighting risks and opportunities to forecast/plan.Partner with the marketing team to measure and deliver on targets for all key KPIs/metrics to maximize the Omni sales potential, providing insight and quantified analysis to performance.Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to develop accurate logistics cost budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational plans and financial targets.Contribute to the financial reporting and insight for monthly and quarterly operating review meetings.Create/Maintain financial reporting Dashboards to ensure they support effective review and decision making.Provide critical analysis to support decision making on real estate transactions, capital investment and analysis of ROI.QualificationsBachelors or masters degree in Finance or Accounting3-5 years related work experience (ideally in retail environment)Partnership/collaboration skills with ability and desire to build networks and leverage relationshipsCreative and critical thinking skillsCapacity to work autonomously and within a team environmentClear and effective communications skills (written and verbal)Team player with service-oriented attitudeFlexible and open to new ideasFluent in English (verbal & written)Advanced MS Excel skillsBenefitsA flexible hybrid working environment - work from home 2 days per week!On-site parkingFoot Locker team discount card!
