About the roleWhelan Kartaway is seeking an experienced Gold Coast Regional/Branch Manager to oversee our operations in the Carrara, QLD region. Whelan Kartway is a long-term player in the waste industry with operations over three states. As a key member of QLD leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our Gold Coast branch, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our valued customers. This is a full-time position based in Carrara, QLD.This role is an exciting combination of sales and management working with the broader sales team to build the business as well as operational management.On offer a competitive salary, superannuation and fully maintained company car. In addition, a local and national team committed to make your role successful!What you''ll be doingDeveloping and implementing business plans to achieve revenue, profitability and growth targets for the Gold Coast branchOverseeing all operational aspects of the branch, including inventory management, staffing, budgeting and reportingFostering a positive, collaborative work culture and leading, coaching and developing a high-performing teamBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliersIdentifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to expand the branch''s customer base and service offeringEnsuring compliance with all relevant legal, safety and quality standardsWhat we''re looking forSignificant experience (5+ years) in a senior management role, ideally within the transport, logistics or warehousing industry. Waste industry experience is a plus!A proven track record of successfully leading, motivating and developing high-performing teamsStrong commercial acumen and business management skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective strategiesExcellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesRelevant tertiary qualifications in business, management or a related fieldAbout usWhelan Kartaway is a leading waste management company across Australia.
