With an ambitious long-term vision and a strong focus on liveability, Council is committed to delivering strategic infrastructure that supports sustainable development, economic opportunity and outstanding community outcomes.Reporting to the Director City Futures, the Manager City Infrastructure Planning leads a high-performing team responsible for development engineering approvals, Councils long-term capital works investment pipeline, strategic transport planning, and growth area land acquisition. The team plays a pivotal role in shaping the city''s infrastructure response to population growth, ensuring strong alignment across internal departments, developers and State Government stakeholders.This is a rare opportunity to influence both policy and delivery overseeing developer-led, Council-delivered and State-supported infrastructure projects. From early-stage pipeline planning through to budget alignment and land negotiations, the portfolio spans the full infrastructure lifecycle and holds significant organisational impact. The role leads a highly capable team of over 20 staff, including four direct reports, and contributes directly to Councils future service and infrastructure capacity.We are seeking a contemporary leader who brings strategic insight and technical credibility in equal measure. Youll offer a sound understanding of infrastructure planning and delivery, the confidence to lead advocacy efforts, and the emotional intelligence to build trust across multidisciplinary teams.
